Job Responsibilities:
The M&E Officer will support program and research implementation by ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality data for monitoring, reporting, learning and decision-making. The position will work closely with program and research teams across sites and contribute to donor reporting, operational research, and continuous program improvement.
- Data collection and management
- Maintain, update, and optimize data collection tools, databases, and associated documentation (e.g. codebooks, SOPs, etc)
- Enter, clean, validate, and manage routine program and research data from multiple sources
- Identify, document and resolve data quality issues, including duplicate records and missing or inconsistent data
- Support data integration and bulk uploads across data collection platforms
- Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with application data protection and ethical standards
- Data analysis, visualization, and reporting
- Produce regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly) reports for program and research teams
- Develop and maintain data summaries, visualizations and dashboards to support program management and decision-making
- Contribute to routine and ad hoc donor reporting, audits and data requests
- Support interpretation and use of data for adaptive management and learning
- Program and field support
- Coordinate with program and research teams to ensure timely collection of data in the field
- Provide technical support to program and research teams on data collection tools and reporting requirements
- Assist with entry, reconciliation and verification in government and partner reporting systems, where required
- Research and learning
- Support operational and implementation research activities
- Assist with data preparation, quality assurance, and analysis for research outputs and evaluations
- Contribute to documentation of lessons learned and best practices
- Other duties
- Perform additional tasks related to monitoring, evaluation, and data management as requested by supervisors or FIT management
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, preventive medicine, epidemiology, biostatistics/statistics, economics or related fields
- At least one year of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation, data management, or health programs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, multi-site environment
- Proficient in spoken English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with TB and/or public health projects
- Familiarity with hospital-based research and health systems
- Proficiency in statistical or data analysis software (e.g. STATA, R, SPSS, SAS)
- Experience with digital data collection and visualization tools
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in Vietnamese
- Proficient in spoken English
