FIT hosts the Asia Regional Hub of the SPARKS Network (Social Protection for Action and Research in Knowledge Sharing)<\/em><\/strong>, a global collaboration focused on advancing research, policy dialogue, and implementation of social protection strategies to address the social determinants of TB.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

SPARKS was originally hosted by Karolinska Institutet, where the network was founded and coordinated through a central secretariat. In 2022, the network transitioned to a decentralized structure to strengthen regional collaboration and leadership. Three regional hubs were established, supported by a global Secretariat and Steering Committee that guide the network\u2019s strategy and governance.<\/p>

As the host of the Asia Regional Hub, FIT coordinates collaboration among researchers, national TB programmes, civil society organisations, and policy partners across South and Southeast Asia. The hub promotes regional knowledge exchange, supports implementation research, and facilitates partnerships that generate evidence on how social protection policies and programs can improve TB outcomes and reduce the economic burden of the disease.<\/p>

Through this role, FIT helps connect regional innovation and research with global policy discussions, contributing evidence and lessons learned to the broader SPARKS network and to international efforts to integrate social protection into TB responses and advance progress toward the End TB Strategy and universal health coverage.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
